Prayer

Prayer is a contact with God, an actualization of the supernatural union that grace establishes between God and our souls; or again, an exchange between two loves: that whitch God has for us and that which we have for Him... The turning of our love towards God, His persistent love for us, the meeting of our love with God-Love, the affectionate exchange that is immediately established: that is what mental prayer is according to St. Teresa.”

Venerable Marie-Eugene of the Child Jesus, I want to see God, p. 54

Prayer is the sun and the center of all the preoccupations of the day. One has the impression that it is the only significant thing we have done.”

Prayer is a search for God... at the start, it is a search! One does not find Him; one is not used to it. Afterwards, it is he who takes us. He answers. Prayer makes us experience God. One searches for Him in faith. One must exercise this faith.”
